Where does trash end up?

Biodegradable plastics are those that are made from renewable raw materials and that disintegrate in a few years through the action of the environment.

Biodegradable plastics take from months to 6 years, depending on their manufacture to degrade. and the vast majority, 79%, has ended up in landfills or in the environment.

Overall, in cities around the world it is estimated that 56% of waste ends up in landfills, 17% in incinerators and 27% is recycled and composted.

The risk of burning trash
Burning trash isn’t just a bad habit, it’s a health hazard! When you burn garbage, it releases toxic chemicals into the air, contributing to air pollution and climate change. Plus, it can cause respiratory problems and even cancer. Let’s ditch the burning and switch to recycling and proper waste disposal instead!

Why biodegradable plastics?

The main advantage of using biodegradable plastic is a significant reduction in carbon emissions during the manufacturing process. And since the materials used to create Biodegradable plastics are of plant origin, a minimum amount of carbon will be generated emitted during the composting process.

Unlike other materials, plastic does not biodegrade and can take up to 1,000 years to decompose, so when discarded, It accumulates in the environment until it reaches a critical point. This Pollution suffocates marine fauna, damages the soil and poisons groundwater and can cause serious health impacts.
